The Crochet Wattle Stitch is a great stitch for a textured crochet blanket. When worked corner to corner, especially with a color-changing yarn, it makes an eye-catching blanket.
I’ve been wanting to give this stitch a try, and since I love trying out stitches corner to corner in blankets, it made sense to keep up that trend with this blanket pattern using the wattle stitch.

I made this blanket using Red Heart Super Saver Ombre Yarn, which is a great yarn to use when you are wanting to help keep things budget friendly but have something that has a pop of color that will last through washing. While this yarn is scratchy right off the skein, once it is washed and dried it actually feels soft and smooth.
