Avery Market Bag Pattern

Sharing is caring!

Reusable bags for shopping at Aldi are my jam, so I just love coming up with new bag designs.

The Avery Market Bag uses the Crochet Mesh Stitch in the round to create a uniquely textured market bag that works great as a reusable grocery bag.

The Mesh Stitch works up fast and is similar to the Moss Stitch, with the difference being that instead of doing a single crochet into the previous row’s chain space the single crochet is done into the previous row’s single crochet. When done in the round it creates a beautiful looking stitch.

The Yarn

Please note that this post may contain affiliate links. You can read my full affiliate disclosure at the bottom of the page.

To make this market bag I used the same yarn that I used with The Sierra Market Bag, Lion Brand Re-Up Bonus Bundle yarn.

I absolutely love this yarn for making market bags. It’s cotton, it’s recycled, and on top of that it isn’t too rough feeling for a cotton yarn when compared to cotton yarn like Lily’s Sugar & Cream.

You can often find Lion Brand Re-Up Bonus Bundle yarn on sale on Lion Brand’s website for under $10.
