Simple Crochet Hanging Wall Basket Pattern

Sharing is caring!

Make a quick and easy storage wall basket with this crochet hanging wall basket pattern that only requires simple stitches to stitch up fast.

This is a great beginner project that can add a useful storage solution to your space.

I started this design as a way to stash away some of the skeins of Heartland yarn I have. It does a great job holding those skeins (I managed to stuff 8 into one basket), but it also does a great job being a storage basket for other lightweight things such as stuffed animals.

Crochet Hanging Storage Wall Baskets, one with yarn and another holding stuff Pikachus

Yarn Used

You can use any yarn that you would like to make these. While cotton usually performs best for making baskets, acrylic can also be used. Using acrylic might get you even more stretch so you can stuff more stuff in the basket.

The initial basket (the turquoise one) is done with Mainstay’s 100% Cotton Yarn from Walmart. This is a great cotton yarn and is super cheap.

The other yarn that I used to make the second basket is Lion Brands Made With Love. I was wanting to try out this yarn since I picked it up with a coupon at Michaels and I can’t say that I like it too much. (Review is soon to come for this yarn)
