Cool weather is coming up fast, so be ready with this quick and easy crochet rustic fall scarf.

This is a free and easy to make crochet scarf pattern that uses bulky yarn and a half double crochet stitch that will give you a scarf in just a few hours of stitching. I designed this with new crocheters in mind, making sure not to throw too much into the pattern but still give it a unique look.

I used Premier Rustic Bulky yarn, it’s a #5 weight. If you use this yarn you will only need one skein. You will also need a P crochet hook. If you don’t already have one, I recommend the Susan Bates Crystallites Acrylic Crochet Hook Set. You can get a P hook and 3 other sizes for a great price.

Notes

  • This crochet pattern is written in US terms.
  • I used approximately 200 yards of Premier Rustic and got about 70 inches in length for this pattern.
  • If you want to change the length of the scarf the initial chain needs to be in multiples of 3 + 2
  • To change the width you can adjust how many times rows 2 and 3 are repeated.
