DeAnna Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

This is the 2nd free infinity scarf crochet pattern for this fall.

I’m loving the colors of the Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn in Echo that I used to create this. I used 2 skeins for the size of the scarf I made, repeating the pattern below 9 times.

This pattern uses a new stitch that I learned the Half Double Crochet Slip Stitch, it creates such a great texture to the stitches. The stitch is like a half double crochet but without the yarn over after drawing your yarn through the stitch. The pattern also uses the single crochet and triple crochet stitches.

Notes

This crochet pattern is written in US terms.

If you want to change the size of this infinity scarf the initial chain can be any length, just +1 for an initial turning chain.

Stitch markers help with keeping count.

The pictured infinity scarf uses the recommended 2 skeins of Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn, if you want a longer or wider scarf you will need more than 2 skeins of yarn.

Materials:

• 2 Skeins of Red Heart Unforgettable Yarn in Echo (540 yards)
• 5.50mm (I) Crochet Hook
• Yarn needle to weave in ends.
• Stitch Markers

Crochet Stitches Used:

• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• hdc-slst – half double crochet slip stitch
• tr – triple crochet

Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

Foundation: ch 48

Row 1: hdc-slst in 2nd chain from hook, hdc-slst all across, turn (47 stitches)

Row 2 – 6: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), hdc-slst in 1st stitch, hdc-slst all across, turn (47 stitches)

Row 7 – 8: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in the first stitch, sc all across, turn (47 stitches)

Row 9: ch 3 (counts as 1st stitch), tr in next stitch, tr all across, turn (47 stitches)

Row 10: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), hdc-slst in 1st stitch, hdc-slst all across, hdc-slst in last chain space, turn (47 stitches)

Row 11 – 12: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), hdc-slst in 1st stitch, hdc-slst all across, turn (47 stitches)

Row 13: ch 3 (counts as 1st stitch), tr in next stitch, tr all across, turn (47 stitches)

Row 14: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in 1st stitch, sc all across, sc in last chain space, turn (47 stitches)

Row 15 – 16: ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in first stitch, sc all across, turn (47 stitches)

Repeat Rows 1 – 16 nine times or until you have desired length. If you go beyond 9 repeats you will need more yarn than the 2 skeins recommended for this pattern.

Once you have your desired length sew/join the ends together in your preferred way.
