Suzette Stitch Crochet Blanket Pattern

Suzzete’s Lapghan

Crochet Lapghans to me are the perfect size blanket to make when stitching up something to help keep me warm. They don’t take up as much time as a full-sized blanket and they’re bigger than baby blankets so they can cover my legs up. If you’re wanting a lap sized blanket with a corner to corner Suzette stitch then this could be the perfect crochet pattern for you.

The Suzzete’s Lapghan uses #4 medium weight yarn and a 6.00 mm crochet hook to create a C2C lap sized blanket using the Suzzette stitch as the main stitch of the blanket. It also has an easy 2 row border to complete the look.

This pattern is an easy one to stitch up, there are no complicated stitches needed

The Yarn

Please note that this post may contain affiliate links. You can read my full affiliate disclosure at the bottom of the page.

To make this blanket you will need about 1875 yards of a medium weight yarn.

For this particular blanket, I used Lion Brand’s Pound of Love Yarn in the color Thistle. The finished blanket used a little under 2 full skeins. Each skein of Pound of Love has 1020 yards of yarn. So if you can catch this on sale you will get a lot with minimal cost. Many times Joann’s will have sales on this yarn at around $8.99 to $11.99 depending on the sale.

The Suzette Stitch

The main stitch used in the blanket is the Suzette Stitch. The Suzette Stitch is an easy stitch that is great for beginners, it is the single crochet and double crochet stitches done in the same stitch with a stitch skipped between each cluster of these 2 stitches.

    1. You are correct, that count for 91 was missed in editing. Row 91 will be 178 and then row 92 is 179. So during the repeats of those rows the stitch count will alternate between those two. Thanks for pointing this out! I have updated the pattern, and if you have a PDF through Ravelry or Etsy you can redownload the updated version there 🙂
